Positive qualities:

Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac and the first of the water signs. Cancers are characteristically very sensitive and emotional and can read personalities like an open book. Are often good judges of character and considerate, while also being initiators. They are particularly intuitive and at their best they have a nose for profitable projects.

They need financial security and take good care of their families and homes.

Many Cancers like to prepare food and are good cooks. Flowers and gardening are also a passion. They have dormant creative qualities. Domestic activities are enjoyed by some, while others like music and animals. Cancers are empathetic and are very considerate of their loved ones. This personality has a strong maternal instinct and is caring towards those around them.

Challenging qualities:

Powerful emotions mixed with fantasy and intuition can be a bit much at times. Hypersensitivity can lead to major mood swings. If they feel threatened Cancers can surround themselves with an impenetrable shell that makes others feel completely shut out. It can then take a long time before it is possible to get through to them again. Some Cancers can be very affected by lunar movements or by others and can, therefore, appear humourless and unstable.
